This regional art center is a venue for cultural activities. Galleries provide annual and rotating exhibits as well as workshops for adults and children. The permanent exhibition of the Martin Petroglyph, a 3,000 pound boulder with carvings completed by prehistoric people, is on display in a replicated bluff shelter setting. It is a gallery, educational facility, museum, and a center for the coordination and promotion of cultural activity for Florence. It is a home base and meeting place for cultural groups and a showcase and classroom for all arts disciplines. The center features annual exhibits and rotating exhibits by arts from the Southeast, workshops and classes for all ages, concerts, and interesting lectures and programs.

Built in 1927, this former silent movie house was renovated in 1985, preserving the original 1930s art deco interior. The theatre is now home to a vibrant community performing arts program. Also, used for concerts and special presentations.

Saturday, September 29, 2018 – Bach, Beethoven & Brews, Join concertmaster Christina Volz-Stomackin and orchestra musicians for an intimate evening of music at the Tennessee Valley Museum of Art. Delicious appetizers and a terrific sampling of libations will be included.
Sunday, October 14, 2018 - Symphony under the Rock, Rattlesnake Saloon, 1292 Mt. Mills Rd. Tuscumbia. The Rattle snake Saloon is the inspirational setting for our outdoor concert featuring Berklee contemporary artists Darol Anger and Eugene Friesen.
Sunday, October 29, 2018 - Reformation, Shoals Symphony, Norton Auditorium on the campus of UNA, North Pine Street, Florence. Music selections include Brahms - Academic Festival Overture, Mendelssohn - Symphony No. 5 in D Major, “Reformation” and celebrations of the city of Florence and State of Alabama Bi-Centennial.
Sunday, December 9, 2018 - Twentieth Century Fox Home Alone in Concert, Shoals Symphony, Norton Auditorium on the campus of UNA, North Pine Street, Florence. A true holiday favorite, this beloved comedy classic features renowned composer John Williams’ charming and delightful score performed live to picture.
Saturday, Janurary 12, 2019 - UNA Honor Orchestra, at Norton Auditorium on the campus of UNA, North Pine Street, Florence. Music selections include Rossini’s William Tell Overture and Marquez’s Danson No. 2. This 7pm concert is one of the nation’s premier orchestral workshops for high school string students, who will be invited to perform with the professional orchestra.
Sunday, March 3, 2018 - Shoals Symphony presents, “En Masse” , at Norton Auditorium on the campus of UNA, North Pine Street, Florence. The Shoals Symphony welcomes UNA Choirs and community choruses to the Norton stage at 3pm. The winner of the UNA Solo Artist Competition will also be featured.
Saturday, April 6, 2018 - Shoals Symphony presents, “Debussy, Daiquiris & Daydreams, Kennedy-Douglas Center for the Arts, 217 E. Tuscaloosa St. Florence. Whitney O’Neal, principla flutist, presents a relaxed evening of music with her fellow faculty and orchestra musicians beginning at 7pm. Delicious appetizers and colorful libations are included in your tickets price.
Saturday, May 4, 2019 - “Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Man’s Chest”, at Norton Auditorium on the campus of UNA, North Pine Street, Florence. The pirates are back!
